It is with great pleasure that we can announce that our short film 'Under The Stars' has received its first film festival award, winning The Grand Prize of the Jury at Amsterdam Film Festival.

Amsterdam Film Festival was on our list to submit the film to, for its ethic of recognising films that move audiences and change perceptions, which we felt it fitted in to very well.

Under The Stars has been submitted to a number of film festivals all over the world. Be sure to keep up-to-date with its progress by liking our Facebook page, and checking back here from time to time.

Our 2017 production will be 'Dancing at Lughnasa'.
Brian Friel's play will be performed in the Studio Theatre at South Hill Park, directed by Jenny Hooper, from 19 - 22 July 2017. Tickets will be on sale from mid-March.

In the 1930s, five unforgettable women try to eke out an existence in Ireland, the land where no tears are without laughter, and no laughter is without tears. Each woman is filled with passionate longing; and yet they deal with it in their own, different ways - except when they are all equally possessed by the spirit of the dance, welling up from the buried, ancient powers of their native land.

Twenty-five years after it won Olivier and Tony awards for Best Play, Brian Friel's masterpiece is already acknowledged as a piece that will last as long as people live, dream and dance.

LWP team up with Savannah Photographic for next short film.
LivelyWood Pictures is teaming up with our creative partner Savannah Photographic to produce our next short film, 'Footprints In The Sand'. The film is about two elderly people; one a slightly grumpy and discontented old man, the other a wise, responsible and sensible lady. The lady is a very important role as she is Mother Nature in a human form. She encourages the Gentleman to confide in her, and gets information out of him about where he is at in his life at the moment. The Gentleman isn't much pleased with his life at the moment; therefore it would seem it might be his time to go. The lady questions further, and comes to a silent decision. Sometimes, we just have to leave people behind. Regardless. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for all the updates.
